Stimulus Payments – Updated Information
On March 12, 2021, the federal government approved stimulus payments to qualified recipients by direct deposit or check. 1st National Bank is committed to providing direct deposit funds to you as soon as they become available. Some helpful information is provided below to help answer your questions.
Direct Deposit
Individuals who qualify and have direct deposit information on file with the IRS from their 2019 or 2020 tax filings will likely receive payments first. You can quickly see if a direct deposit has been posted to your account by logging into online banking or the mobile app. There are instances where you may have your stimulus deposit shown as pending in your account. Once 1st National Bank receives the funds from the Federal Reserve, we will make these funds available to you. The Federal Reserve is expected to begin releasing funds on March 14th, 2021, though if we receive funds sooner, we will release them.
Payment by Check
The Federal Reserve will begin mailing stimulus payments to individuals by mail later this month.
